Overview
I participated in the Research Training and Curriculum Review Workshop organized by the College of Engineering and Technology at Wollega University in collaboration with the INDMET Project Office. The two-week workshop was conducted from April 3 to April 11, 2023, bringing together academic staff and postgraduate students to strengthen research capacity and curriculum development.
Workshop Highlights
The workshop focused on enhancing research competencies through two specialized training sessions facilitated by Prof. Hirpha G. Lemu from the University of Stavanger, Norway.
The training covered:
- Research Design and Methodology
- Research Grant Writing
- Curriculum Review and Improvement
- Proposal Development and Presentation
Participants also developed research grant concepts, prepared professional presentations, and received constructive feedback from trainers and fellow participants.
My Participation
As a participant, I actively engaged in the training sessions and collaborative discussions on research methodology, curriculum enhancement, and grant proposal development. The workshop provided valuable insights into designing high-quality research projects and preparing competitive research grant proposals, further strengthening my capacity to contribute to research, innovation, and international academic collaboration.
